Our Commitment to Youth PDF Print E-mail
We are building for eternity at Monroeville Christian Church and have structured our youth programs to meet the needs of our young people today.  To accomplish this, we have established a variety of programs we feel meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our youth.  Colossians 1:28 says: "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ.".  This is our goal for every person, young or old, to hear of Christ's life and inherit salvation.

Baptism PDF Print E-mail

Christ commands the apostles to baptize (Matthew 28:19).

All through the book of Acts it is shown that whenever men came to Christ they were baptized (Acts 2:38, Acts 8:12-38, Acts 10:48, Acts 16:15-33, Acts19:5).

Read also: Galations 3:27, Romans 6:35, 1 Peter 3:21, and Colossians 2:12.

On the day of Pentecost, Peter preached, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins" (Acts 2:38).

Baptism is symbolic of the burial and resurrection of Christ (Romans 6:3-5, and a birth - "born of the water and the Spirit" (John 3:5).
