YOUTH MINISTER’S MOMENTS

VBS REPORT

Studio Go” VBS for 2009 was a wonderful time of learning and good fellowship. All week long the youth and staff were very excited about learning from God’s Word and how we can “Go” serve Him. The singing, lessons, crafts, puppet shows & skits, recreation, missions and snack time were all well done and received well by an excellent group of young people. We had 47+ staff and youth that had perfect attendance plus adults who attended the adult class. All of our other numbers this year were vey good with an average of 103 people for each night and a mission offering for IDES for $680.33.

Each year I like to thank our VBS staff and workers for a job well done and they all deserve it very much! I believe our VBS staff is the most qualified around. Each individual does an excellent job at what they put their hands to and it richly blesses all of our programs here at MCC. Many of our members and visitors thanked me for VBS, but all the credit needs to go to God first, and then our dedicated staff that make VBS run so smoothly.

I want to thank all of our teachers, assistant teachers, craft leaders, and their assistants for an outstanding job that they did this year. Our middler class had the largest attendance for one day with 11 youth plus Debbie Ciolli, their teacher. What a great example middler class, keep up the good work! Thanks again to all of our teachers for a job well done and our craft leaders that came up with many wonderful craft creations.

I want to thank our kitchen crew, Nancy Sloan and Jenny Artman for all their hard work each night feeding everyone. I want to thank Missy Slatt, our VBS secretary who did a super, fabulous job. I want to thank Linda Simpson, our craft director, photographer, and secretary behind the scenes. Thanks, Linda! I want to thank Darla & Fred Zottola for a great job with the puppets and the great puppeteers. I want to thank Mindy Donnelly for being in charge of our “Studio Go” skits which were right on and fun to watch. Good job to Caleb Provance, Jimmy Zottola, and Allie Smith, our cast members that did an outstanding job. I would also like to thank Darin Donnelly for the hot-hard work at recreation time. The kids had a great time getting their “wiggles” out. Thanks again to my staff and directors for a job well done and may the Lord bless us and may He grant us an increase. Have a great day!
