It Is Not Easy to Be a Christian

Acts 24:25

Introduction: In this life that we live there is no easy time or convenient time to be a Christian.  Nobody ever said it was easy to be a Christian

Proposition:  Let's notice a few reasons why the scriptures teach that it is not easy to be a Christianjj.

 

I.  It's not easy to hear what God has to say.

A.  Matthew 15:12

B.  John 6:60-61

C.  Luke 8:12

 

II.  It is not easy to change.

A.  Change bad habits ~ repent

B.  When people are truly convicted they won't wait for a better time or more convenient opportunity.

III.  it is not easy to stay focused

A.  it is called being faithful until the end.

1.  Matthew 16:25

2.  Titus 2:14

3.  Revelation 3:15, 16

4.  Galations 1:j10

5.  Matthew 11:30

6.  Luke 9:62

 

Conclusion:  There is no better time then the present to accept Christ as your Lord and Redeemer!  Are you a Christian?  If not, why not today?

1.  Do you believe?  John 3:16

2.  Will you repent of your sins?  Acts 2:38

3.  Will you be baptized?  Mark 16:16

4.  Will you live a faithful life until death?  James 1:12
