John 8:36

 

Introduction:  If you are under the bondage and weight of sin, Jesus is the only one who can set you free.  

Proposition:  Let's look at the scriptures and see how we can have true liberty and freedom in Christ.

 

I.  Everyone needs spiritual freedom.

A.  John 8:33

C.  1Corinthians 6:9

 

II.  True freedom comes only through Jesus Christ.

A.  John 8:30-32

B.  John 14:6

III.  We now have freedom to do what?

A.  To do your own thing?  NO!

1.  Matthew 6;24

B.  Continue in sin? NO!

1.  Romans 6:1,3-7, 11-18,20,22

IV.  Do not be fooled with false freedom and false hope.

A.  Proverbs 14:12

B.  2Peter 2:18-20

C.  1Thessalonians 1:9,10

 

Conclusion:  Are you "Free Indeed" through Jesus Christ, who is the only one who can give you true freedom and liberty?  If not, why not today?
